"Wool and Fiber Festival"

Coggshall Farm...  Bristol, Rhode Island

Join us for the first annual Wool and Fiber festival!

R.I. has been the only state in New England that hadn't held some sort of Wool and Fiber event...not so anymore. An overwhelming band of passionate people have come together and organized a most wonderful diverse fiber event. The Rhode Island Sheep co-op along with many other local and regional farms, including Alpaca, Pygora goats farms are excited to attend on this wonderful day.  

 

There will be an huge array of many fiber related vendors (yarn, fiber, etc.)  from near and far attending, along with fabulous foods and music.

 There will be sheep shearing demonstrations done in 18th century fashion. Other demonstrations will include; felting, weaving, quilting, basket weaving, local 4-H, Sheep to Shawl, Rug hooking, spinning, hand spindles, dyeing and much more.

Contests to be held:   Spinning, hand spindle, knitty noddy winding etc.  ( Anyone brave enough to enter any of these or if you have any questions  please contact me at www.weefolkfarm1@aol.com )

 

There will be many children events including some hands on experience such as carding, spinning, weaving felting, hayrides and much more!

There will be a "2nd Time Around" sale offered with many second hand fiber supplies for sale, wheels, looms, tools etc. ( if you have anything you would like to sell contact Lisa  Lisa Blier@aol.com

Many Animals will be on the grounds  such as;  different breeds of sheep, Alpacas, Pygora goats, Angora Bunnies....etc.
